Strong work ethic. My work ethic was forged as member of the wrestling team back in high school. In a lot of ways the hard work and training of wrestling prepared me “work ethic wise” for my career in sales and business. I have never met a truly successful sales professional who wasn’t also a very hard worker. In fact, in most sales organizations I can watch the work ethic of the sales staff and almost predict who the top performers are without even seeing them perform a sales presentation. A quote I heard a long time ago from a very successful sales rep was this, “I may not be the most talented, the best looking or even the most polished, but I can tell you one thing, NO ONE will EVER out work me!” The reason I like this quote is because this person is controlling the one thing he has total control over, his effort. If you want to be more productive and have greater success in your sales position, you should do the same.
