Several years ago my son Christopher and I conceptualized and designed the logo that you see on this website. I’ve been very happy with the design for many reasons. It’s very professional, slick, and simple. More importantly, however, it has a deeper significance to me. Not many people know this by looking at it, but there’s something hidden inside.
Whenever I tell people, they usually get a kick out of this. The company is run by myself, John W. Collins III, so I decided to hide my initials within the design.
Take a look:
Do you see it?
There is a J, W, C, and III hidden in the logo. Those are my initials. John W. Collins III. Pretty cool, is it not? I also had a family friend create a stop motion animation to illustrate the hidden characters within the logo. You can see them spin into place in the video. My favorite part is that my name rolls up like Smoke Guard and the logo folds out like Skyfold. You can see the animation is at the end of this video about Skyfold:
Try not to see the initials whenever you look at my logo now. I bet you’ll remember next time you see it. Also, if you have any interest in graphic design, this is a great technique you can utilize. Be clever and find ways for your colleagues and customers to remember you!
